The Opportunity
Bureau Veritas is expanding our infrastructure delivery capability in South Australia, and we’re inviting experienced Surveillance Officers and Inspectors to join us on some of Adelaide’s major infrastructure projects. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of South Australia’s infrastructure by ensuring quality and compliance across all elements of these projects. We’re particularly focused on strengthening our presence in metropolitan and surrounding areas, where a strong pipeline of public infrastructure projects is underway.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite verification of works, contractors' QA systems, and all other onsite activities for designated projects.
- Maintain detailed site records, including photographic and written documentation, to verify work completion and quality.
- Offer real-time feedback on construction issues to the project team and stakeholders.
- Support Project Engineers, Managers, and Directors to ensure effective project delivery while taking responsibility for day-to-day surveillance of assigned project elements.

About You
- Preferably 10 years’ experience working on significant infrastructure projects. Ideally, you have worked with Tier 1 or 2 Contractors as a superintendent, nominated authority or similar with an excellent understanding of modern construction methods across multiple disciplines such as road pavements, bridges, drainage, reinforced concrete structures, precast concrete etc.
- A solid understanding of South Australia’s Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DiT) Master Specification will be highly regarded.
- Proven experience in technical surveillance or quality assurance within engineering or construction, with a strong track record of managing and verifying onsite activities.
- Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, Australian Standards, and construction documentation.
- Excellent client and stakeholder relationship management skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing team.
- Previous experience working as an Independent Reviewer / Construction Verifier would be advantageous.
