The Opportunity

 

We are looking for several Systems Auditors all over Australia - NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia. 

They will be responsible for conducting independent, impartial audits of client management systems against international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO55001, FSSC22000 and other ISO standards). The role ensures that certified organisations demonstrate compliance, effectiveness, and continual improvement, while upholding the integrity and reputation of the certification body.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Audit Delivery

  • Plan, prepare, and conduct third-party audits in accordance with certification requirements
  • Assess client management systems against applicable ISO standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identify nonconformities, observations, and opportunities for improvement
  • Deliver clear, concise, and evidence-based audit findings

 

Client Engagement

  • Act as the primary audit representative during on-site and remote audits
  • Build professional, trusted relationships with clients
  • Communicate audit outcomes effectively, including closing meetings and reporting
  • Provide value-added insights while maintaining impartiality

 

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare high-quality audit reports within required timeframes
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with certification body procedures
  • Maintain audit records and documentation in internal systems
  • Work collaboratively with Bureau Veritas’ Technical team for report finalisation

 

Compliance & Integrity

  • Adhere to ISO 17021, ISO 19011 and internal certification body requirements
  • Ensure independence, impartiality, and confidentiality at all times
  • Comply with accreditation body requirements and audit protocols
  • Participate in witness audits and technical reviews as required
  • Work collaboratively with Bureau Veritas’ Operations team for availability and confirmation of client audits

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain professional competence and sector knowledge
  • Participate in ongoing training, calibration sessions, and technical meetings
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the certification business

 

About You

  • Recognised auditing qualification (e.g., Lead Auditor certification) in one or more standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience auditing management systems
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and risk-based auditing approaches
  • Relevant industry experience (e.g., construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, or services)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Desirable

  • Multi-standard competency (QHSE or integrated systems)
  • Experience with certification bodies or accredited environments
  • Exposure to additional schemes (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 55001, FSSC22000)
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, business, or related field
