Laboratory Technician/Preparation Sampler

The Opportunity 

We are seeking Laboratory Technician and Preparation Samplers for our laboratory in Blackwater. Depending on the focus of your role, you will be using specialized equipment for laboratory testing of coal samples or performing manual handling tasks to prepare coal samples. You will also be involved in the simulation of coal production processes to test the properties of coal samples.

Full training will be given and accommodation is provided at the mine site

This role would suit a candidate wishing to pursue a career in the industry.

About You    

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks
• Sound numerical skills.
• A methodical and well organised approach to your work.
• Reliable and able to work shift work, weekends and overtime as required.
• A QLD C Class manual drivers license and own transport
• Ideal if you have CBM and STD11.
• Having relevant Laboratory Certifications would be advantageous

Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site. NO FIFO.
