Company Description

With over 35 years of industry experience, McKenzie Group Consulting is one of Australia's most trusted leaders in Building Surveying, Accessibility, and Compliance Management. Founded in Melbourne, we've grown into a national consultancy with offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Geelong, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney—delivering consistent service and local expertise across the country.

As part of the Bureau Veritas Group, a global leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification, we bring a proactive, full-circle approach to service delivery that supports some of Australia's most complex and high-profile construction projects. Our team of over 120 professionals works across a wide range of sectors, delivering trusted expertise and consistent outcomes nationwide.

About the Role

We are seeking a Bid & Tender Administrator to join our team. This senior administration role is pivotal in managing and producing high-quality fee proposals, expressions of interest and Tender submissions that support the strategic growth and business development objectives of the organisation.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, collaborating closely with technical teams to deliver accurate, timely, and professional submissions. You will play a central role in coordinating internal stakeholders, managing deadlines, and ensuring all tender processes run smoothly. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional who is keen to grow into a skilled tender writer/administrator as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor the central tender’s inbox and allocate tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Produce Fee Proposals, EOIs, and Tenders, with a focus on both small and large-scale projects (including complex scopes and high-value clients).
  • Coordinate Tender/Bid Assistants to ensure accurate and timely execution of proposals.
  • Ensure all submissions meet quality standards and are followed up appropriately, with bid status updated.
  • Respond to non-price criteria such as sustainability and procurement requirements.
  • Manage accurate data entry, file/document management, and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Support the wider team with ad-hoc duties, ensuring outstanding service to internal stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant experience in a similar tender administration or coordination role.
  • General knowledge of the Building and Construction industry (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Proficiency and accuracy in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
