The role:

An opportunity exist for an experienced analyst to join our team at our Salisbury site. This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday day shift. The successful candidates will be directly responsible for performing plate reading, pathogen testing by PCR (BAX) and VIDAS, confirmations, culture maintenance and other duties. The role may also from time to time include performing routine sample preparation, testing, registering of samples and preparing microbiological media.

Your day to day will include but is not limited to:

• Pathogen Testing using PCR and VIDAS Technology
• Plate reading and entering of results into the LABWARE system
• Confirmation of isolates
• Culture maintenance
• Reporting of results to clients

This role would suit a candidate wishing to pursue a career in the industry.

What’s needed?

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Science or related discipline (Desirable)
• Hands on experience in a laboratory environment required
• Ability to prioritise work in order to meet daily deadlines

Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
