The role:
You will be working with our client, on multiple sites, nationally to manage the coordination of onsite works, review reports, identify and manage the repairs and progress work to completion.
This client nationally undertakes a program of inspection of their storage tanks, to determine their continued fit for service, as part of this program Bureau Veritas perform the inspection and then an engineering assessment of the tanks condition.
The tank farms / depots / processing facilities are located nationally and consist of approx. 45 sites with 1250 tanks / vessels to be inspected over a 10-year period rotation.
The overall works program is managed by the client, which includes the following steps.
- Planning for which tanks are to come out of service.
- Coordinate cleaning of tanks.
- Coordinate tank isolation and access requirements.
- Organise Confined Space Entry and Scaffolding requirements.
- Oversight of the inspection.
- Organizing repairs.
- Returning the tank to service.
This position requires site presence so will require being away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time. You will reside in Brisbane ideally, however we are open to considering Perth or Adelaide.
Full time position seconded to a project runs for up to 5 years with the possibility of extension.
What’s needed?
Ideally you will have previous experience and the following skillsets:
- 5+ years QAQC position working within the oil and gas sector is highly regarded
- Have industry experience in Chemical processing plants or Oil & Gas facilities
- Have either API650 or API653 qualification with welding / QA experience or have a Welding inspectors QA qualification with experience in tank repairs.
- Good communication, report writing, presentation and stakeholder management skillset
- An excellent communication skill is vital and the ability to understand project management.
