Defence & Security

Bureau Veritas’ Defence and Security business is designed to offer flexibility in service delivery, enabling operations from our offices, client locations, or remote settings as required. We bring together the best industry and project management professionals in a team structure tailored to Defence and suited to delivering multiple projects across the country.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and set strategic direction for procurement across the business.
  • Develop and implement high‑level procurement policies, ensuring alignment with project requirements, budgets, timelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead major supplier negotiations and establish long‑term agreements to drive sustainable procurement outcomes.
  • Prioritise and deliver key procurement initiatives aligned with company business plans and purchasing strategies.
  • Champion procurement best practice across a complex, multi‑business environment.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships, measuring and driving performance to achieve commercial and operational targets.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders while ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Deliver quality, timely results and solutions to customers in line with requirements.
  • Oversee documentation reviews to ensure compliance, adequacy, and risk management.
  • Represent procurement at senior meetings and contribute to executive decision‑making.

 

 

About You:

  • Must hold and maintain a security clearance (Baseline or higher; NV1 preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, business, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in procurement, advisory, or consulting, with a proven track record of leading successful service delivery.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse complex information and translate it into effective business strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, fostering collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and engage at senior levels.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a high‑performing team environment.
