The Opportunity
The APP Group has a new role for an experienced Surveillance Officer with extensive experience in civil construction projects to be based in Canberra. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of infrastructure, ensuring quality and excellence on groundbreaking projects. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and ensure the highest quality standards on our infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite verification of works, contractors' QA systems, and all other onsite activities for designated projects.
- Maintain detailed site records, including photographic and written documentation, to verify work completion and quality.
- Offer real-time feedback on construction issues to the project team and stakeholders.
- Support Project Engineers, Managers, and Directors to ensure effective project delivery while taking responsibility for day-to-day surveillance of assigned project elements.
About you
- Proven experience in technical surveillance or quality assurance within engineering or construction, with a strong track record of managing and verifying onsite activities.
- Demonstrated experience working on Civil Construction projects with light rail experience desirable. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is desirable but not essential,
- Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, Australian Standards, and construction documentation.
- Excellent client and stakeholder relationship management skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing team.
