The Opportunity
Bureau Veritas is seeking experienced Condition Monitoring Technicians to deliver high‑quality condition monitoring and reliability services across large‑scale oil & gas and mining operations in the Mackay and Central Queensland regions.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimising asset performance, improving equipment reliability, and supporting proactive maintenance strategies for our clients. Working closely with management, peers, and key stakeholders, you will ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical, environmental, quality, and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
You will apply a range of condition monitoring techniques to identify equipment issues and ensure reliable plant operation, including:
- Vibration Analysis
- Thermography (Infrared Scanning)
- Ultrasonic Testing
- Oil & Lubricant Analysis
- Motor Current & Power Quality Assessment
- High Frequency Detection & Acoustic Emission
You’ll also support broader reliability services, such as:
- In‑situ rotor balancing
- Shaft alignments
- Shutdown condition inspections
- Lubrication support
- Failure investigations
- Reliability studies and reporting
About You
You will bring strong technical capability, a commitment to safety, and the ability to build positive client relationships. Ideally, you will have:
- Vibration Analysis CAT 2 certification
- Thermography Level 2 (advantageous but not essential)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a condition monitoring role
- Demonstrated experience in vibration analysis and thermography
- Strong client relationship‑building and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously in varied site environments
- A strong commitment to QHSE principles
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- A valid Queensland driver’s licence
Roster
- Dynamic roster arrangements based on business and client requirements
- Shifts may be up to 12 hours, worked any day of the week from Monday–Sunday
- Penalties apply after 42 hours per week
