As industry leaders in laboratory testing, Bureau Veritas Minerals has extensive operations throughout Australia providing services across the entire exploration and mining project cycle. Our state-of-the-art laboratories are strategically placed to help provide a wide range of inspection and laboratory testing services across a broad range of commodities.

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Preparing and diluting samples processed in the Digest Laboratory to be analysed on ICP-MS and/or ICP-OES instrumentation
  • Basic maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of ICP instrumentation
  • Maintain good laboratory housekeeping
  • Undertake tasks as requested by the laboratory supervisor/manager
  • Perform Safety walks, inspections, audits and other tasks related to safety
  • Follow and adhere to laboratory SOP’s and safety practices
  • Meet quality, TATs and KPI’s required for the role

 

About You  

  • Previous experience working in a Geoanalytical or Minerals Laboratory
  • Experience of inorganic chemistry laboratory techniques
  • At least 1 years experience as a Laboratory Technician or equivalent
  • Experience with ICP-MS and/or ICP-OES equipment is highly regarded
  • An understanding of the basic QA/QC procedures in a Laboratory
  • Good verbal and numerical reasoning skills
  • A methodical, well organised approach to your work
  • Be willing to work as part of a team in a production environment, with a high focus on quality & safety

 

Roster  

  • Weekly rotational shift roster
    • Day shift – 6.00am-2.00pm
    • Afternoon shift – 2.00pm-10.00pm
