About the Role:

Supporting the Strategic Development General Manager and broader Sales/Operational teams the Oil & Gas Market Lead will act as a key Subject Matter Expert to support the development of Advisory, Testing, Inspection and Certification related work within the Oil, Gas & Chemical markets.

 

The role includes responsibility for current a future strategic engagement across the Australasian region. This role will be based in Perth to be close to our key customers in the oil and gas market, and involve account management. This is an opportunity to contribute to the national and global conversation on oil and gas as the energy market transitions. It requires leveraging relationships to contribute to the growth of opportunities for Bureau Veritas, and will require attendance to client meetings, and leading the commercial strategy for EOI, RFQs, and tender responses.

 

Throughout this exciting journey, Oil & Gas Market leader will be supported by a highly experienced team, who over the years have grown to become a leading consultancy and preferred supplier to industry. The role involves working collaboratively with the local and Global Sales and Operations teams to grow and realise opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

It is mandatory to have:

  • Experience working in the TIC Industry or O&G Industry in a Technical, Sales or operational role
  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • Be able to communicate confidently at all levels. This includes effective listening skills, and being able to influence internal and external stakeholders, with superior oral and written communication.
  • Commercially astute.

 

 

It is desirable to have:

  • Degree in an Engineering related discipline (Mechanical / Structural / Chemical / Electrical).
  • Further post graduate studies in certain area of study MBA or other Business-related certifications.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies such as carbon capture and underground storage
  • Working experience of using customer relationship management tools (i.e. Salesforce)

 

 

Required Experience:

⦁ Experience predominantly gained from working in the Oil & Gas sector but will also consider those with experienced gained from working in the manufacturing, power and chemical industries.

⦁ Proven customer service instincts and interpersonal relationship skills.
