The role:
We have a dynamic opportunity for a Shift Coordinator to join the Geo-analytical team within the Bureau Veritas Minerals Laboratory at Gauge Circuit, Canning Vale WA. You will be excited by the challenges of our business and the variety this role offers ensuring both short term and long-term objectives are met.
What you are responsible for, but not limited to:
- Work to Bureau Veritas QHSE standards
- Support and drive the team to achieve daily production targets.
- Supervise and lead a team.
- Coordinates and schedules project work and staff
- Support and assist in on-the-job training of your team.
- Assist in reviewing processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ensure procedures are followed and quality standards met.
- Good analytical skills to make safe and sound judgements.
The test work will cover a range of commodities including but not limited to iron ore, gold, and copper and other base metals. Some experience with these types of ores would be considered advantageous.
What you will being to the role:
- Proven experience in investigating problems.
- Good computer skills and knowledge.
- A thorough knowledge of Laboratory processes and lab Analyses.
- Laboratory experience.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst following processes
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work with others
- Be willing to work as part of a team with a high focus on quality & safety
Shift work roster:
- 7 day rotating roster – 9 hour shifts
- 3 day shifts (5am-2pm), 3 afternoon shifts (2pm-11pm), 3 off
