The Opportunity  

We are seeking a Production Coordinator to join the XRF team within the Bureau Veritas Minerals Laboratory at Sorbonne Crescent, Canning Vale WA. You will liaise with the XRF Technical Manager, XRF Manager, XRF QA/QC Coordinator, XRF/Lab Services Shift Supervisors and other departments to ensure generated sample jobs from Scheduling are processed and analysed according to instructions, priorities, urgency and TAT.

 

This is a temporary position until late 2027 with the possibility of extension.

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Booking of jobs according to priority, production specification and performs other requisites as required in the XRF Department
  • Ensure that all department’s data and KPI’s are recorded in the required spread sheets
  • Liaise with other staff members and departments to enhance department efficiency and help to ensure consistent implementation of XRF protocols
  • Communicate XRF instrument faults to the XRF Management Team and Technical Support team
  • Facilitate training in the sustainability program and technical aspects of equipment and instruments
  • Maintaining bead storage records
  • Adherence to correct laboratory procedures
  • Monitor work is meeting laboratory benchmarks
  • Full compliance to Company QHSE requirements

 

About You  

  • Previous experience with XRF operation is essential
  • A strong interest and experience in a mineral laboratory
  • A tertiary qualification or studying towards it
  • Computer literacy skills, preferably with a laboratory LIMS
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

 

Roster

Monday to Friday roster

  • Day shift

**Shift work may be required depending on operational needs

**Overtime on Saturday or Sunday may be requested depending on workloads
