The Opportunity
Bureau Veritas are growing our Defence sector capability and is hiring a Project Manager to support the Estate Works Program (EWP) as part of the Project Delivery Service (PDS) ten-year contract, based in Darwin.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team, delivering impactful infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. Joining our Defence team means working on meaningful projects that support strategic outcomes. You’ll collaborate with a supportive and experienced team, engage with a broad range of stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering high-impact projects from planning through to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Project Manage infrastructure projects on behalf of our client through all lifecycle stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement.
- Manage project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and Bureau Veritas standards.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.
- Oversee handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensure timely project closeout.
- Capture and share lessons learned to improve future project delivery.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Construction Management).
- A current Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to maintain one).
- Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within the Defence or Government sector.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.
- Strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
