The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for an experienced QC Chemist who is excited by the variety this role offers. As a Chemist in the Geo-Analytical Lab, you will be responsible for method development and validation, instrument trouble shooting and calibration and hands on
You will be based in Kalgoorlie and will be responsible for operating and maintaining instruments, conducting tests, interpreting data, and providing accurate analytical reports to clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the field of Geo-analytical testing and gain hands-on experience with analytical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Ensure all work practices are within the area are performed to the relevant standards and procedures
- Provision of quality data and turnaround within clients’ specified requirements
- Applying the quality and continuous improvement system process
- Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures
- Processing and interpreting data
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment
About You
- A formal qualification in Chemistry, such as a Bachelor of Science
- Familiarity with mineral processing principles and techniques
- Computer literacy skills, preferable with a laboratory LIMS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Strong communications and leadership skills
