Who you are?
We are seeking applicants for the position of Maintenance Technician, who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this roles offers. You will be based at our Atbara facility in Kalgoorlie, WA and will be responsible for supporting the Sample Preparation department with maintenance duties of specialised equipment. You will be fully trained in this position and would suit someone who has a good mechanical aptitude, an understanding of tools and their applications in a safe manner
Some of your tasks will be but not limited to:
- Maintenance of specialised equipment – pulverisers, crushers,
- Belt, bearing, bowls, feet changeouts
- General equipment maintenance – repairing of trolleys, painting, pneumatic line maintenance
- Diagnosis and repairs of sample preparation plant and equipment
- Organising repairs via external contractors
- Ordering parts and consumables
- Ensuring all equipment is operational and safe to use
- Communicating equipment issues and resolutions to management
What will you bring to the role?
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of the industry is preferred
- Have the ability to follow set procedures and good attention to detail
- Be willing to work as part of a team with a high focus on quality & safety
- Physically fit, prepared to carry out manual tasks and able to lift up to 30 kilos
- High Risk Work Licence – LF, DG, WP, SL is preferred
- Work at heights will be advantageous
Shift work roster:
- Monday to Friday 7.5 hour days shifts with the potential for overtime
