The Opportunity
You will report to Corporate Finance Manager and work alongside the Senior Financial Accountant and be responsible in a range of finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of all tax matters and compliance
- Perform monthly BAS control checks and lodgement
- Prepare bi-monthly NZ GST lodgements and control checks
- Perform yearly FBT preparation and collection of required information
- Preparation of draft group income tax return including CBC report, Transfer pricing, Withholding taxes
- Prepare various other tax and compliance lodgements (eg. TPAR, Payments Reporting, Quarterly ABS Survey, etc)
- Support with the preparation of Annual and Half Year Statutory Financial Accounts
- Assist in the intercompany recharges and reconciliation.
- Assist with the information to be provided to the external/internal auditors
- Assist in preparing tax provisions and compliance reporting to HO (Magnitude)
- Assist with the maintenance of Financial System Oracle’s JD Edwards
About You
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- At least 5 years relevant accounting experience
- Self-starter attitude with a strong attention to detail, driven to meet tight deadlines, problem solving and establish priorities
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
- The ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Ideally someone with Tax background
