The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Chemistry Technician who is excited by the variety of responsibility this role offers. As a Chemistry Technician, you will be responsible for method development and validation, instrument trouble shooting and calibration. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the field and gain hands-on experience with analytical equipment.
This full time position will be based in Moranbah on a mine site laboratory and is open to sponsorship for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining instruments,
- Conducting laboratory testing
- Interpreting data
- Providing accurate analytical reports to clients
About You
- A formal qualification in Chemistry, such as a Bachelor of Science highly regarded
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Ensure all work practices within the area are performed to the relevant standards and procedures
- Provision of quality data and turnaround within clients' specified requirements
- Applying the quality and continuous improvement system processes
- Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures
- Processing and interpreting data
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Familiarity with mineral processing principles and techniques.
- Computer literacy skills, preferably with a laboratory LIMS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong Communication and Leadership Skills.
