Our expert solutions span the entire asset lifecycle, from initial project planning, design review to ongoing operational support and end-of-life management. 

The Opportunity   

 We are looking for a Site based Quality Engineer who can work on a utility scale battery energy storage (BESS) project. The main objective of this Expert is to ensure the supervision of electrical / instrumentation and civil inspection activities to verify Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plan implementation.

Key Responsibilities   

•  Check Inspection Test Plan with reference to electrical activities
• Check the availability and adequacy of consumables and equipment/instrumentation used for electrical / instrumentation execution and control
• Verify that material and equipment are correctly received, stored, preserved, calibrated, handled, identified, and traceable
• Supervise and witness inspections, check reports and documentation issued by the contractor and verify the collection of required Quality Records
• Verify that tests, controls and inspections are carried out according to Quality Control Plans / Inspection Test Plans, checking the collection of relevant documentation also for the final completion approval, and that personnel have access to all required project documentation
• Verify the collection and management of documents certifying test, controls and inspections, checking that all records are properly retrievable within the final As- Built dossier
• Verify the preparation of the Quality works dossier for final handover to the Document Controller
• Verify that the NCR management process is in place and effective.
• Be accountable for ensuring that the project comply with Client and Manufacturer requirements,
• Provide timely and accurate subject matter guidance on QA/QC opportunities and challenges and work with the projects team, client, contractors, and manufacturers for timely and effective resolution to any non-conformances and/or opportunities for improvement.
• Carry out site inspection and witness site testing carried out by D&C contractor, when required
• Report as required (daily, weekly, monthly) on project QA/QC requirements using Client project specific QA/QC documents and forms.
• Monitor and maintain project QA/QC files and data within Client’s integrated document management systems (DMS).

About You   

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree

• Prior experience working on BESS projects
• Prior experience working as quality engineer  (renewable energy projects preferred)

• Ability to work with minimum supervision

• Prior site based experience (renewable energy projects preferred)
