The role:

Opportunities exist for an Analyst to join our Chemistry team at our North Melbourne lab. As a level II Analyst, you will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing. You may also conduct testing using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques.

 

Your day to day will include but is not limited to:

  • Weighing samples for a range of tests within the Chemistry Laboratory
  • Performing basic testing and sample preparation
  • Performing basic calibrations
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
  • Coordinating with internal clients
  • Plus any other duties as required, as matched to your level of experience and skill.

 

 

What’s needed?

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:

  • Hands on experience in a laboratory environment (preferably Chemistry/Food related)
  • Ability to prioritise work in order to meet daily deadlines 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of OHS requirements within a laboratory 
  • Experience in Labware/LIMS (Desirable)

 

Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
