The Opportunity

Bureau Veritas is currently seeking applicants for Assistant Project Manager roles in Perth to service broader Western Australia for our expanding Defence sector capability.

These roles are ideal for early to mid-career professionals who are ready to take the next step and be involved in complex project delivery. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the delivery of strategic sustainment programs, working closely with experienced leaders and a range of stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes from initiation through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project delivery across all lifecycle stages: initiation, planning, design, construction, and closure.
  • Contribute to successful project outcomes including developing design, assist in managing procurement activities in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and monitoring onsite construction activities.
  • Develop project documentation and undertake reporting in accordance with Defence standards.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and engagement.

 

 

 

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture);
  • Must currently hold (or be eligible to obtain) a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Experience supporting project delivery, ideally within the defence or broader government sector.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile is desirable.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
