Infrastructure Advisory 

Bureau Veritas plays a critical role in enabling the delivery of complex, large-scale infrastructure assets that underpin economic growth and societal wellbeing. The Infrastructure team at Bureau Veritas offers strategic, commercial and technical advice to help you unlock opportunities and deliver successful projects.  Our Advisory services provide clients with specialist advice across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure programs. We develop complex procurement processes, commercial strategy and contract governance for a range of different infrastructure and services projects in the transport and energy sectors, as well as social and emerging infrastructure markets. 

We offer our clients a comprehensive end to end Advisory service which includes the development of delivery model and contracting strategy, market engagement, procurement and transaction management, commercial negotiation through to contract award, and post-award commercial and delivery-phase support. Our commercial and transaction services are highly tailored to meet the needs of each client in terms of their project budget, timeframe and key stakeholders.

 

 

 

 

The Opportunity

Bureau Veritas' Infrastructure Advisory team is seeking experienced Advisors and Senior Advisors to join our growing team in Sydney or Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of Australia's most significant infrastructure, energy and utilities projects, providing strategic, commercial and transaction advisory services to government and private sector clients.

As an Advisor or Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex advisory engagements, partnering with clients to navigate commercial, procurement and delivery decisions. Working alongside some of Australia's most respected infrastructure advisors, you will lead workstreams, contribute to client strategy, and support the development of innovative solutions that create lasting economic and community outcomes.

 

Must Have:

  • Demonstrated depth of transaction and commercial experience.
  • Strong procurement experience within the major infrastructure and energy sectors including rails, roads, transport and energy.
  • Ability to develop high-quality tender documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in government procurement processes, including governance, stakeholder management and approval processes.
  • Ability to lead interactive workshops for design, delivery, constructability and other streams related to large infrastructure projects.
  • Proven exposure to pre-contract and/or post-contract management activities.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex commercial outcomes to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in managing transaction data rooms (preferably Ansarada).
  • Experience in leading Infrastructure NSW gateway reviews and health checks.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support the delivery of strategic, commercial and transaction advisory engagements across major infrastructure, energy and utilities projects.
  • Develop procurement strategies and evaluation plans for government construction procurements.
  • Manage procurement and transaction processes, including market engagement, tender document development, evaluation and negotiation activities.
  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including reports, briefing papers and executive-level presentations.
  • Build strong client and stakeholder relationships while contributing to business development and the growth of the advisory practice.

 

About You  

You are a commercially astute professional with experience advising on complex projects, transactions or infrastructure initiatives. You enjoy solving strategic challenges, working directly with clients and contributing to projects that shape communities and drive economic growth.

To be successful, you will be:

  • Degree qualified in engineering, economics, commerce, finance, law, construction management or a related discipline.
  • Experience within infrastructure advisory, management consulting, commercial, transaction or project delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated exposure to major infrastructure sectors such as transport, renewable energy, water, social infrastructure or utilities.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and communication skills, with the ability to distil complex issues into practical recommendations.
  • A proactive and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex client challenges.
  • Focused on delivering excellent work product with keen attention to detail.
