The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Buildings team in Sydney, overseeing the delivery of a program of critical infrastructure projects, including upgrades to government owned assets and the construction of new facilities. These projects play an essential role in supporting operational readiness across the region.
This role will be responsible for end‑to‑end project leadership, from scoping and planning through to design coordination, procurement, delivery, and handover. You will be the primary representative in the client’s office, working closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure projects are executed to a high standard and in alignment with strategic objectives.
With a strong pipeline of work, this position offers long‑term growth and future opportunities to diversify across the broader Buildings portfolio once the program is completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Manage Design, contract administration processes, including tendering process, contractor engagement, variations, progress claims, and compliance.
- Coordinate and lead project teams, fostering collaboration across consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Provide accurate reporting and updates to senior leadership and clients.
About You
- Proven experience managing projects within property or social infrastructure, ideally degree-qualified in Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Background in delivering complex projects in Sydney with experience across commercial, residential, education, health, etc ideally with exposure to consultancy or client-side roles.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to bring confidence to project management process.
- Willing to work on secondment roles to support organisational and client needs.
