Senior Project Manager – Residential

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Bureau Veritas – Buildings & Infrastructure team in Sydney, supporting the delivery of residential projects across NSW.
This role could see you working across a diverse residential portfolio including mixed-use precincts, apartments, build-to-rent, retirement living, social and affordable housing, and student accommodation—alongside emerging sectors such as co-living, land lease communities, seniors living, and key worker housing—across both new build and major refurbishment projects.
As part of a growing team, you’ll play a key role in delivering exciting projects while contributing to the continued expansion and diversification of our residential capabilities.
The Role
Working client-side, you’ll lead projects across the full lifecycle—from strategy, design management and procurement through to construction, delivery, and handover.
You’ll partner with developers, government agencies, and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality residential outcomes, while also helping shape project strategies and strengthening client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of residential projects across multiple asset classes
- Manage design development and coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, including developers and government stakeholders
- Drive procurement strategies, tender processes, and contract engagement
- Oversee construction delivery, contract administration, and project handover
- Monitor programme, cost, and risk to ensure successful commercial outcomes
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability growth
- Support business growth through client engagement and identifying new opportunities
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the residential sector
- Background working with a developer, government agency, or consultancy
- Experience delivering apartments, BTR, retirement living, social housing, or student accommodation projects
- Strong end‑to‑end project delivery capability, including design management and construction phases
- Confident managing new build and refurbishment projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project controls
- Leadership capability, with a proactive and solutions‑focused approach
- High level of professionalism and integrity, with a proactive attitude toward delivering quality work and contributing to Bureau Veritas’ culture of excellence, trust, and continuous improvement
