The role:

We are seeking a full time Technical Specialist Level I to join our Silverwater team. You will provide adequate resource for the laboratory to operate smoothly and increase the team’s capacity to on-board any potential customers and clients.

 

Your day to day will include but is not limited to:

  • Performing routine testing and sample preparation
  • Applying the quality system and continuous improvement processes.
  • Writing and implementing standard operating procedure and other laboratory documentation.
  • Validating new methods.
  • Maintaining reference culture.
  • Equipment management including calibration, commissioning new equipment
  • Training other people and providing workplace instruction
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
  • Coordinating with internal clients
  • Maintain the smooth operation of the laboratory

 

This role would suit a candidate wishing to pursue a career in the industry.

 

What’s needed?

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:

  • Degree in Science or related discipline
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritise work in order to meet daily deadline.
  • Must be available to work Sunday to Thursday
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a commercial laboratory environment

 

 

Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
