The Role:

We have a unique opportunity for a Graduate Chemist or a Junior Chemist looking to change your focus. Working with experienced Chemists and Managers in our laboratories, you will gain great industry exposure. You might be performing routine laboratory analysis along with the electronic reporting of results. Or, you might be involved in test method development. Working in a fast turnaround laboratory where you will focus on analytical testing and troubleshooting, will undoubtedly increase your knowledge of NATA accreditation process.

A knowledge and interest in machines, engines and motor mechanics will also be highly desirable as it will give you a great appreciation for the application and importance of the work you undertake. This role is based in Whyalla and will require you to live in this location.

Experience:

• Completion of Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry Exposure to Geoanalytical Laboratory processes
• Knowledge of Laboratory methods associated with minerals testing – Wet Chemistry, XRF, Fire Assay
• Exposure to data analytical software (Matlab preferred)
• Knowledge of NATA and ISO quality systems would be highly regarded.

Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing will be a requirement of working on site.
