The Opportunity
We're looking for a practical, hands-on Maintenance Person to join our team and help keep our factory and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
This is a full-time Monday to Friday day shift position, ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work. No two days are the same, with duties ranging from general building maintenance and equipment repairs through to fabrication projects and helping maintain production machinery.
Whether you've worked as a Handyperson, Maintenance Officer, Trades Assistant, Factory Maintenance Worker, Grounds & Facilities Officer, or come from a mechanical background, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general repairs and preventative maintenance across the factory and siteInspecting, servicing and maintaining production equipment and machinery
- Performing basic mechanical repairs, adjustments and troubleshooting
- Maintaining factory facilities including doors, walls, shelving, cabinets and work areasAssisting with plumbing, drainage and general building maintenance tasks
- Fabricating, assembling and modifying shelving, guards, storage solutions and other site fixtures
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Responding to maintenance requests from operational teams
- Assisting with the movement and installation of equipment and machinery
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace
- Supporting health, safety and compliance requirements across the site
About you
- Hold a current Forklift License and valid driver's license
- Have proven experience in equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, or a related trade
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills
- Are safety-conscious and committed to maintaining health and safety standards in all work
- Can safely and confidently operate hand and power tools
- Ideally have experience in laboratory or industrial environments
- Possess basic plumbing or electrical knowledge (desirable)
- Are reliable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a team-oriented workplace
