Our state-of-the-art laboratories are strategically placed to help provide a wide range of inspection and laboratory testing services across a broad range of commodities.

The Opportunity

We have a dynamic opportunity for a Graduate Metallurgist to join the Adelaide Mineral processing team within the Bureau Veritas Minerals Laboratory at Wingfield, SA. You will be excited by the challenges of our business and the variety this role offers ensuring both short term and long term objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing metallurgical testwork under the direction of Project Metallurgists/Senior Project Metallurgists.
• Preparing testwork results and reports for review by metallurgical staff.
• Supervision of technicians in carrying out testwork, again under the direction of Project Metallurgists/Senior Project Metallurgists.
• Assist with project management and preparing weekly reports for both clients and the Technical Manager.
• Adherence to all BV Minerals QHSE Policies and Standards.

The testwork will cover a range of commodities including, but not limited to, iron ore, gold and base metal ores. Some experience in processing of these types of ores would be considered advantageous.

About you

• Hold a degree qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• Physically fit and willing to perform manual handling tasks
• Sound computer skills
• A methodical, well organised approach to your work
• Be willing to work as part of a team with a high focus on quality & safety
