The Opportunity
We are seeking Laboratory Technician’s, who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this roles offers to work in our Digest Laboratory. Your role will be using specialised equipment and performing laboratory testing to test the properties of minerals samples in a high production laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Weighing, digestion and preparation of samples for analysis
- Follow and adhere to laboratory procedures
- Undertake tasks as requested by the supervisor
- Meet quality, TATs and KPI’s required for the role.
- Maintain good laboratory housekeeping.
- Work to Bureau Veritas QHSE standards.
About You
- Experience working as a Technician or Analyst within a mining related Laboratory
- ICP MS experience highly desirable
- A Certificate III / IV in Laboratory Skills / Techniques is beneficial
- Must adhere to quality standards and have a strong commitment to safety.
- Must be reliable and able to work rotational shift work on a roster (Day, Night and Afternoon shifts).
- A strong team and customer focus.
- Sound reading and numerical skills.
- A methodical, well organised approach to your work.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening.
Roster
- Monday to Friday - 8 hour fortnightly rotating shift roster
- Day shift (6.00am – 2.00pm)
- Afternoon shift (2.00pm – 10.00pm)
- Night shift (10.00pm – 6.00am)
**Full availability across all shifts is required
**Optional weekend overtime may be available if there is an increase in workload
