Purpose of Position
- Since BV is a multifaceted organization, the business development professional needs to clearly understand all the products of BV and work actively for achieving cross - selling, which means supporting the sales of other business lines as required.
- The job incumbent is responsible for Sales & Marketing of all Certification (CER Training & Second Party Services) products, mainly Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) CER products in the area/ region.
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy
Ø Major Responsibilities
Understanding Certification Process
- Promote public, in‑house, and customized training programs related to management systems, product certification, and compliance standards
- Develop and implement marketing plans to generate leads for training and second‑party audit services.
- Prepare and distribute marketing materials (brochures, presentations, email campaigns, social media content).
- Coordinate with technical and training teams to ensure accurate communication of service scope and benefits.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Represent the organization in seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and networking events.
Sales
- Achieve assigned sales targets for training programs and second‑party audit services.
- Identify, approach, and develop relationships with corporate clients, manufacturers, suppliers, and service organizations.
- Prepare and submit commercial proposals, quotations, and contracts in line with company policies.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to close sales.
- Maintain a sales pipeline and regularly update CRM or sales tracking systems.
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, and past clients to ensure repeat business and upselling opportunities.
- Develop establish and maintain profitable relationship with existing clients and ensure timely collection of sales proceeds.
- To set and achieve the yearly business plan target and optimum selling price through an effective management system.
- To collect information from the potentials clients for the certification products, information about competitors, reviewing and taking appropriate action/plan for Business Development.
- Regular communication with vendors for mailing, mass mailing for Certification or Training.
- Continuously look out for information on New Market opportunities, Competition, Segment wise Growth, New Players Entry, etc.
- Perform any operational Job as given by Top management for the business development and organizational improvements.
- Promote second‑party audits, supplier audits, vendor assessments, and compliance verification services.
- Liaise with clients to understand audit scope, criteria, and objectives.
- Coordinate with internal auditors and technical teams for audit planning and scheduling.
- Ensure client requirements are met in compliance with accreditation, confidentiality, and impartiality rules.
- Support clients in understanding audit findings and post‑audit processes.
ØCriteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
- To understand the CER process
- To achieve individual sales budget / target in the area / region
- To increase the number of proposals compared to previous year
- To sell a diverse range of CER products
- To minimise attrition of clients
- To achieve a higher manday rate
- To ensure SF filling – in and integrity in a prompt and timely manner
Ø Qualification and Experience
- Business Graduate/Engineering/Science Graduate
- Having working experience with other Certification body will get preferance
- 3-4 years of practical experience to relevant field will get preferance
