Mission:

The job incumbent has overall responsibility for operations management in marine (and offshore marine) field and act as a focal point for tehcnical issue, quality assurance and control related matters and also management of team to improve client’s satisfaction.

Functional Competencies:

  1. Supervise the field operations of marine & offshore marine activities in Belgium, within close synergy with Marine Chief Executive (MCE) and manage the working relationship with the activity managers as needs be.
  2. Present periodical activity review reports to MCE.
  3. Ensure marine & offshore marine service delivery within standards of excellence in coordination with Marine Managers, ensure team operates within delegated authorities, meet requirements and incorporate change in legislation and new practices.
  4. Contributes to know-how exchange by leading actions across country.
  5. Contribute building a strong, -self and/or through surveyors- effective relationship with key clients and in coordination with business development & commercial team.
  6. Support Management in best allocation of resources, management and development of team.
  7. Participate in and contribute towards the overall strategic leadership and operational management of the marine and offshore marine activities in Belgium.
  8. Take part and support budget & forecast process and also support the country management for its follow up
  9. Ensure compliance to Group and Business Line guidelines and procedures including requirements of HSE management system.
  10. Other projects and duties as delegated by the Management.

 

Requirements:

  1. Degree qualified in Marine Engineering and/or experience in Marine and Offshore related industry, and/or experience in classification societies.
  2. Possess excellent communication, networking and influencing skills.
  3. Ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  4. Good business acumen
