THE POSITION

As IT Support Specialist you will be based in our Antwerpen office and be responsible for providing IT support. You will be part of a large team of IT professionals that are spread through the region North West Europe, with whom you will have regular contact via phone and Teams. Your main tasks are:

  • Prepare IT equipment for new employees and provide them with correct equipment, thereby co-ordinate with Service Desk to ensure a proper check IN follow up
  • Provide 2nd level support and technical support to end users throughout North West Europe region.
  • Ensure proper supply management, IT orders, invoice handling, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy, security and availability of all IT/IS systems.
  • Make of the IT ticket system connected to the Service Desk.
  • Ensure compliance with all IT policies and procedures.
  • Available to travel both locally within our Belgium offices and any North West Europe offices.
  • IT Security must be always adhered to with the company.
  • We are a 24/7 365 days a year company so you will be expected to work unsociable hours including weekends.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

For this role we require you a very professional can do mentality.

You are able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Ability to set your own priorities as well as those set by your line manager.

Can work under a very high-pressure fast paced demanding environment to be able to support the business requirements.
 

Furthermore we require you to be:

  • Very fluent in English; both written and spoken, Dutch & French are a plus.
  • At least a BSO level 4+ or equivalent diploma related to IT/ICT
  • ITIL Qualified and experience in change/problem management
  • Microsoft Certified qualifications equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ year experience supporting Microsoft products including Server OS, SQL, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy & DHCP.
  • Minimum 5+ year experience supporting VMWare ESXI and Hyper-V environments.
  • Office 365 tenant experience and MS Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Project, Intune, Teams and OneDrive.
  • Minimum 5+ year experience supporting Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Supporting of Backup systems including Veritas Backup Exec, Quantum, HP and Dell Autoloaders.  
  • Minimum 5+ VOIP Experience in supporting CISCO, UCM systems, ODIDO.
  • Minimum 5+ experience in printing solutions including Cannon Uniflow, Papercut & XEROX
  • Minimum 5+ experience in networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, CISCO Switches, HP Auruba Switches and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to write PowerShell scripts.
  • MUST have experience in software systems including SCCM, SuccessFactors HR System, SNOW Licensing, OMS, LIMS, Grafana, Proofpoint, Saviynt, BitLocker, Flex financial system, SMAX, Chromeleon, OMNIS, Deltek, JobReg, Bomgar remote support, Ivanti VPN, Cybereason, ODIDO Essentials, LAPS, Paxton NET2 Door Entry Systems.
  • Experience working within a Chemical Laboratory environment.
  • Ability to show experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Financial experience to manage company assets within a leasing portfolio.
  • Ability to work within deadlines set by management.
  • Security experience working with BitSight and NIST systems and terminology.
  • VCA Safety Certification required to gain access to some of our own office and any client locations.
  • Ability to support all Adobe products including Reader, Standard, Professional, Creative Suite.
  • Ability to support Nitro PDF suite.
  • Ability to work closely with third-parties including ISP, Mobile Providers and any business support for both office and laboratories.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide a very high level of support to both end users, clients and any stakeholders.
  • Experience working on complex IT/IS projects.
  • PC Machine build using the Autopilot process.
