Job Description.

With a good knowledge of international regulations and statistical calculation methods (linear elastic, non-linear, metal fatigue), the successful candidate will join the Research Department and contribute to the development of tools as well as the improvement of verification methods and techniques of both internal and external stakeholders

 

As a R&D engineer - Naval Structures & Offshore Units, your main tasks include:

- Produce bibliographical and documentary studies

- Perform various types of structural calculations

- Develop computer tools for numerical analysis (scripts) for your own use or that of your colleagues.

- Write special studies mainly for research and development and/or commercial purposes.

- Be in contact with the operational teams of Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore and partners (research organizations).

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the marine and offshore industries
  • Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering
  • A strong familiarity with a high-level scripting language (Python).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented approach and Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
