How can you leave your mark?
We are looking for a HSE manager with adequate capacity and authority, who shall coordinate and implement the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System adopted by the CLIENT at the external site. The HSE Manager shall cooperate with the Site Manager and the Commissioning Manager for the whole duration of the site.
Responsibilities:
- Study the safety documentation provided by the Client (Safety and Coordination Plan or similar) and the law requirements applied in the Country where the site is made.
- Develop and keep updated the Health and Safety Plan in cooperation with the HSES.
- Integrate the procedures included in the CLIENT's Health and Safety Management System with the requirements foreseen by safety regulations in force according to local or client law.
- Develop and keep updated the emergency and evacuation plan depending on the real conditions of the sites.
- Cooperate for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to provide to site personnel and visitors before entering the site, and guarantee the availability of necessary PPE during the whole duration of the site.
- Organize the safety training orientation referred to the specific and updated risks of the site, the following safety measures, and the procedures to be adopted by the personnel deputed on site.
- Implement the identification system of the personnel on site and guarantee that only authorized personnel can access the site.
- Implement the identification system for vehicles and means.
- Organize periodic safety coordination meetings (duly minute) with CLIENT personnel and CLIENT subcontractors' representatives (and eventually with the Client Site Coordinator) to previously define the procedures to follow on site.
- Organize the emergency mock drill according to the configuration of the site and the content of the emergency plan.
- Perform job site safety compliance inspections, including safe work procedures, written reports, and recommendations.
- Temporarily stop the activities if the safety conditions are not considered adequate.
- Organize and record (Toolbox Talks) on-site to address criticalities and recover safety conditions and restart activities.
- Notify any nonconformity regarding misbehaviors of the personnel and/or unsafe conditions in working areas.
- Implement the system of Permit to Works, Lock Out Tag Out, on-site during the commissioning of the plant.
- Organize any necessary safety training courses on-site.
- Manage incident reporting processes, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, as well as the implementation of corrective and protection actions.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum age: 26 years - Maximum age: 45 years
- Qualification: Engineering Graduation / Safety engineering / Industrial technical diploma
- Minimum experience: 5 years in a safety role in Metalworker contexts, preferably Metallurgical - steelworks
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and team skills, ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, analyze and solve problems
- Site activities: Willingness to continuously supervise the activities of workers directly in the work area, carrying out office activities at the end of the shift
- Training: International training as a Safety Manager (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, RSPP, ASPP)
Required Languages:
- English at least B2 - CEFR
- German at least B2 - CEFR (very liked)
Work Schedule:
- Rotation days ON/OFF (if applicable): 90/15
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
