Role Description

Context:
We are seeking an Electrical Inspector to operate as a third-party inspector at construction sites, commissioning facilities, and operational sites in the Athens metropolitan area. The position involves independent technical inspections of electrical installations, with responsibility for certification and regulatory compliance.

Position Purpose:
Ensure technical and regulatory compliance of electrical installations through systematic inspections, functional testing, and preparation of certified reports, operating according to international standards (CEI, IEC, ASTM) and Notified Body requirements.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Inspections: Conduct technical inspection related to electrical installations in Greece and abroad, according to National and International Standards, Technical inspection according to Greek legislation  
  • Testing and Commissioning:  Conduct Testing and Commissioning activities related to all kind of electrical installations in Greece and Abroad, according to National and International Standards
  • Desing Review: Conduct desing reviews related to electrical installation of builigs, and of Renewable Energy Projects (PV, Wind & Hybrid)
  • Certification: Prepare inspection reports, commissioning records, and compliance certificates with photographic evidence and technical documentation.
  • Coordination: Interface with project teams, energy distributors, clients, and competent authorities to align on schedules and results
  • Documentation: Manage inspection databases, archive technical data, maintain complete traceability according to Bureau Veritas Procedures 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to international standards, Greek local regulations, and specific client requirements
  • Operational Autonomy: Operate independently at remote sites, managing logistics, safety, and inspection schedules

 


Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or equivalent recognized technical qualification

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of documented experience in electrical inspections at:
    • Certification Bodies (Notified Bodies) or control organizations
    • Employee or freelance/consultant role

Technical Competencies:

 

  • Experience with Renewable Energy Projects
  • Compex certificate will be considered as a plus
  • Familiarity with renewable energy installations (photovoltaic, wind) – preferred
  • Proficiency with measurement instrumentation: digital multimeters, clamp meters, megaohmeters, network analyzers
  • Competence in reporting software and technical data management (Excel, proprietary Notified Body software)
