As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, we are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to join our organisation as HR Generalist for Marine & Offshore operations. Position is located within our Piraeus office in Greece and you will be welcomed in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition 

  • Support end-to-end recruitment for operational, technical, and business support positions
  • Coordinate job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Manage new-joiner onboarding, probation reviews, and contract amendments
  • Assist with employer branding and talent attraction initiatives
  • Ensure a welcoming first-day experience for new team members

 

Employee Records & Administration 

  • Maintain accurate employment documentation, contracts, and employee records
  • Monitor attendance, leave balances, and absences; produce reporting
  • Process HR transactions: transfers, promotions, contract amendments, exits
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and data confidentiality in all HR documentation
  • Organize and file employment records (digital and physical)

 

Compliance & Operations 

  • Support day-to-day HR operations in compliance with Greek labor law and group policies
  • Prepare and maintain employment documentation and contracts
  • Support internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with QHSE teams and occupational physicians on local health & safety matters
  • Stay informed of Greek employment legislation updates
  • Advise managers on routine HR operational questions

 

Employee Lifecycle Support 

  • Support onboarding, probation reviews, internal transfers, and offboarding processes
  • Act as a point of contact for employees on operational and procedural matters
  • Assist with employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives
  • Support performance review coordination and documentation
  • Foster a supportive work environment through clear communication

 

HR Systems & Reporting 

  • Maintain HRIS and employee databases; ensure data accuracy
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking
  • Support process improvements and workflow optimization
  • Assist with HR projects and system updates
  • Produce ad-hoc HR reports and analysis for management

 

HR Policies & Procedures 

  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies
  • Assist in developing and updating employee handbooks and work regulations
  • Draft and review employment contracts under guidance
  • Support onboarding/offboarding workflow documentation
  • Help ensure consistency in HR processes and procedures

 

Required Qualifications

 

Experience

  • 4 - 6 years of HR operations, HR administration, or HR generalist experience
  • Proven experience managing recruitment, employee records, and HR compliance
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR reporting
  • Experience working with Greek labor law and GDPR compliance (essential)

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) would be an advantage

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (SAP SuccessFactors or similar)
  • Competent Excel skills (data entry, basic analysis, reporting)
  • Strong written and verbal communication in Greek and English
  • Comfortable with HR documentation systems and digital file management

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience in a multinational or regulated industry
  • Experience with HRIS implementation or system upgrades
  • Exposure to employee engagement or onboarding programs
  • Basic knowledge of Greek employment law
