Ø Purpose of Position
-
- As Manager for Risk & Safety the position is responsible for managing the operations and ensuring delivery of the Risk & Safety Budget through business support in the Risk & Safety discipline of Technical Centre.
- Technical Centre offers high level of technical expertise in the areas of Design Appraisal, Risk & Safety, Asset Integrity Management.
- Shall be main point of contact for technical interaction with clients and ensure the deliverables are in line and present the same.
- Lead the team of passionate R&S engineers and guide them.
Ø Major Responsibilities
-
- Major role would be to carry out safety studies assignments, monitor the jobs being executed by the team, and control day-to-day operations of R&S discipline to ensure proper execution of the jobs.
- Preparation of technical/ commercial proposals Supervise, monitor and mentor the engineers in his discipline.
- Will be responsible for contract management and Manday estimation of the enquiries.
- Define KPI’s and monitor the aspects of the sub-ordinates on day-to-day activities.
- Liasoning with line Managers of other offices within India and Zone and whenever necessary with other Regions of Bureau Veritas organization.
- Enhance the capabilities of the team and identify gaps in the team members address the same through training hiring competent resources.
- Work closely with the Business Line to develop short-term/Long-term strategies for sustainable growth of the R&S Discipline
- Prepare & Deliver the yearly Budget Plan Revenues.

- Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.
- To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable
- To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.
- Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers.
- Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects
Ø Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)

- Perform & deliver to client as per contract and client expectations.
- Achieve set objectives as per business plan and above mentioned responsibilities.
- Knowledge of International and local standards and codes
- Deliver the set target goals and objectives in line with KPI’s set.
- Enhance the R&S safety studies across various verticals.
Ø Qualification and Experience
-
- Graduate or Masters in Chemical / Petroleum / Production Engineer with more than 15 years of experience of Risk & Safety studies, Loss Prevention design, Technical Safety studies.
- Capable of leading a team of assigned Risk & Safety engineers, checking the technical integrity of deliverables, delivering reports within allocated schedule and budget.
- Experience of Facilitating Process Safety Workshops e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP, SIMOPS, Constructability, MOPO, AutoCAD, Detect 3D, BowTie etc.
- Experience of working with DNV PHAST/ SAFETI, Shell FRED, Shell SHEPHERD, ExSILentia, Flaresim, Bow-Tie XP etc.
- Experience of Oil & Gas Industry including onshore, offshore, petrochemical, terminal, pipeline etc.
- Certified Hazop Leader
- Certification in Risk Assessment Tools Operation (QRA, FERA)
- Certified Functional Safety Engineer / Professional
