Ø Purpose of Position
- The position calls for overall development of BV services as Inspecting Authority for client asset.
- Provides support in preparation of proposal & estimate to Sales team and help to control spend on site activities.
- Identifies improvements to work practices and actively contributes towards continuous improvements.
- Ensure that the deliverables to client are submitted in time frame.
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy
Ø Major Responsibilities
- To work with leading resources clients, major customers and suppliers.
- Perform onstream, Offstream and shutdown inspection for pressure vessel, piping, heaters, heat exchangers, storage tanks, pipeline and generate the report.
- Should have the basic knowledge in performing the Direct Assessment of pipelines.
- Capable to develop corrosion loops and identify the damage mechanisms.
- Evaluate corrosion rates and remaining life and recommend changes to inspection frequencies and methods.
- Working knowledge of internal and external corrosion mechanisms common to the oil and gas industry and the corresponding corrosion management options (CP, chemical treatment, coatings, remediation or repairs etc.)
- Liaising with clients to develop discrete work scopes and build professional working relationship.
- Perform Fitness for Service in line with API 579-1/ASM FFS-1, RLA in case of requirement for integrity assurance and reliable service of equipment without affecting Plant safety
- Knowledge of codes & standards like API571, API 510, API 570, API580, API581, OISD, Offshore standards, NACE standards & other codes related to the field of corrosion and inspection.
- Knowledge of corrosion monitoring technique & non-destructive inspection technique.
- Development of fit-for-service recommendations to address integrity threats, integrity program inefficiencies, and other identified opportunities for life extension of the asset in the form of technical report.
- Knowledge of Asset optimization, Maintenance & Reliability practices as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Corrosion Management and willingness to learn and grow.
- Able to generate the repair procedures, recommendations and analyze the equipment defects with respect to different codes.
- Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer)
- Able to generate report, interpret report, perform calculation as per the relevant codes, Knowledge of Asset optimization, Maintenance & Reliability practices as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Corrosion Management and willingness to learn and grow.

Ø Qualification &Technical Knowledge
B.E Mechanical / Metallurgy
API 510, 570,580, 653
Atleast two API certification is mandatory added advantage for candidates with additional API qualification
Experience in field of refinery inspection, pipeline inspection & FFS is preferably.
- Experience:
- 6 - 8 Years of experience in Upstream O&G, Downstream Refining & Petrochemicals, Power Generation Utilities, Chemical Plants.
- Hands on experience in Onstream inspection, Turnaround inspection, Risk based Inspection,Direct Assessment, Risk Assessment, Inspection Planning.
- Experience in tools such as Meridium, Bentley, Predict software, E2G. other integrity software is added advantage.
