ABOUT GPC

  • The key objective of the BV Global Performance Center (BV-GPC) is to support BV's global business performance. It aims to support global operations through simplified, standardized, and streamlined (3S) functioning for testing, inspection, and certification services.
  • The center works to strengthen industrialized marketing and sales excellence worldwide. It additionally drives performance improvement for BV's Global Product Lines, both for existing and new service offerings. BV-GPC also oversees business process management, optimizing both back-office and front-office operations to enhance efficiency and deliver operational excellence towards end to end service delivery

1. PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • The purpose of this role is to provide specialist Tableau and data expertise to Global Performance by supporting dashboard troubleshooting, validating data accuracy, and resolving complex technical issues that sit outside standard dashboard operations.
  • This role acts as an independent data assurance layer within the Global Performance team, ensuring confidence in dashboard metrics while enabling technical problem-solving where deeper Tableau expertise is required                   

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Validation & Independent Cross‑Checking

  • Perform independent data cross‑checks behind Global Performance dashboard metrics as within the Global Performance team.
  • Validate calculations, joins, keys, and data logic to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Identify data discrepancies, root causes, and potential improvement areas.
  • Communicate findings clearly within the Global Performance team and relevant technical teams.

Tableau Technical Support

  • Provide specialist Tableau support for complex technical issues, including:
    • Key and join configuration
    • Data relationships and modelling challenges
    • Dashboard logic impacting accuracy or usability
  • Support resolution of issues identified through dashboard operations or user feedback.
  • Provide guidance on best practices based on prior Tableau dashboard build experience.

Dashboard Enhancement Support

  • Support incorporation of technical improvements driven by dashboard feedback.
  • Ensure technical changes are aligned with existing architecture and data standards.

Cross‑Functional Alignment & Knowledge Sharing

  • Leverage experience from dashboards built for other teams to inform Global Performance solutions.
  • Support alignment where Global Performance dashboards intersect with Sales or other performance dashboards.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to Global Performance and dashboard operations teams.                                                                        

3. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar disciplines.

6–10+ years of experience in:

  • Tableau development and support
  • Data modelling and validation
  • BI or analytics platforms in enterprise environments.

Proven experience building and supporting dashboards used by large business populations.

Strong understanding of data pipelines, joins, keys, and performance optimisation.

Experience supporting or reviewing dashboards outside the original development team (independent assurance).

4. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced expertise in Tableau (Desktop, Server/Cloud understanding).
  • Strong data modelling skills (joins, blends, relationships, keys).
  • Ability to read, validate, and stress‑test complex dashboard logic.
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to isolate and resolve issues.
  • Good documentation capabilities for findings and recommendations

  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Clear and structured communicator, able to explain technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Solution‑oriented and pragmatic approach to problem solving.

  • Calm and methodical under ad‑hoc or urgent support requests.
  • Collaborative approach, supporting teams without formal authority

  • Accuracy and effectiveness of data cross‑checks performed.
  • Number and severity of dashboard issues successfully resolved.
  • Reduction in recurring technical issues following support interventions.
  • Timeliness of support provided for ad‑hoc Tableau requests.
  • Stakeholder confidence in dashboard accuracy and technical robustness.
  • Quality of technical guidance and documentation provided.

Job Responsibility & Accountability (Key Roles&comma functions & accountability):

•    Collecting&comma analyzing&comma consolidating information and comments from country M&S leaders and from multiple stakeholders in other divisional units&comma and communicating the information with the Regional M&S Director and M&S teams on a need-to-know basis and with the division in Hong Kong. Information contains :
•     Preparation of various PPT presentations for the scope above on a schedules and ad- hoc basis
•     Other ad hoc analysis work as required by the Exec. Team
•     Developing&comma maintaining and improving analytical models
•     Scheduling concall calls using Zoom Platform
•     Maintaining documentation&comma briefing papers&comma periodical reports and executive presentations as needed
•     Providing follow up on directives and tasks given to other departments and organizational units
•     Performing office management duties &comma as needed
