EXECUTIVE RESEARCH-IRC ASSOCIATE INFORMATION SPECIALIST

 Position Summary
BVCPS is a consumer products testing laboratory located in Noida, UP, India. The role of the IRC is to
provide all locations and employees within BVCPS with a central source of regulatory, technical,
industry, and business information. The IRC specializes in finding current international compliance
information and providing it in a usable format. The IRC's well-stocked electronic library includes
standards, regulations, correspondence, government data resources, and online subscriptions,
providing the breadth of resources to answer both quick reference and in-depth research and
compliance questions.
 Objective
Provide research support to internal technical services team, protocol development team, operations,
Regulations database team, and other global service teams. Engage in proactive monitoring of
regulatory compliance issues globally, as well as fielding reactive reference and research inquiries to
support test submissions, protocol development, and client inquiries.
 Major Roles & Responsibilities
 Work on the research and reference request for the BVCPS Global Team based in Buffalo,
New York, USA. Includes traditional research using online databases, company resources,
information vendors, and primary data collection via online methods, as well as some
email/phone communication with government agencies and other sources.
 Stays abreast of new global regulatory, industry, and other compliance issues, which affect
the Consumer Products Services Division and its clients and also monitors competitor and
client activities.
 Tracks, documents, communicates, and disseminates new information and the technical and
operational impacts.
 Prepares miscellaneous documents and databases for internal use, client bulletins, and other
purposes, which summarize and/or interpret industry markets, competitor activities,
regulations, enforcement practices, and standards.
 Authors technical communication with internal staff relative to regulatory summaries.
 Supports the development and maintenance of associated resources including Knowledge
Products and internal databases.
 Assists in the introduction of applicable technological innovations, including (but not limited to)
implementation and management of the Divisional Intranet and other relevant database
applications.
 Assist in the development, review, and maintenance, of IRC Knowledge base and collections.
 Participates in IRC projects initiated to achieve IRC and company goals and objectives.
 Develops training programs/orientation sessions to train users on the IRC’s products, policies,
services, databases, and electronic tools.
 Collaborates with all locations (globally), business lines, and departments on informationrelated
projects in response to company, business line, and departmental priorities/initiatives.

 Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job
 BE or B.Tech or Graduate in any technical streams like Textile, Apparel, Food, Mechanical
and Electrical etc with knowledge on regulatory requirements with the ability on online data
search on regulations related to different consumer products.
Specialist, Information 1:
 Experience in corporate database maintenance, information services, or relevant industry.
 Experience searching international requirements, regulations, and standards of different
consumer goods.
 Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced setting handling a variety of research requests.
