Ø Purpose of Position
- The job incumbent is responsible for inspection in QA/QC field of IND business (Oil & Gas, Power and Petrochemical Industries).
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy
Ø Major Responsibilities
- Inspection, Quality Control, Assessment of various HT/LT Elect Equipment like Motors, Generators, Transformers, Switchboards, Switchgears, cables, insulators, Control Panels, Battery Chargers, Switchyard items etc, at vendor premises & Sites.
- Quality Audit, testing witness, verification of testing procedures of various equipment, review of vendor drawings, technical specifications.
- Site inspection of Electrical Installations at Power Plant locations.
- Inspection of Solid core insulators, Circuit Breakers, Cables HT and LT, Panels HT and LT, FLP equipments, motors etc., for various Projects.
- Inspection of Protection relay, pressure, temperature gauges, indicators, switches, transmitters, for various projects
- Inspection of Computer hardware, servers etc.
- Vendor evaluation, Customer satisfaction surveys, coordination with vendors and clients.
- Developing new clients and Tender bidding
- Training on safety
- Preparation of Conformity Report and Non-conformity Report of different Electrical equipments and materials.
- Analysis of the quality of Electrical equipments and materials as per Indian Standard and International Standard and take suitable measures for quality control as per the standard.
- Carry out different testing on the electrical equipments and materials for compatibility checking as per requirement of the consumer.
Ø Roles & Responsibilities for HSE
- Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.
- To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable
- To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.
- Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers.
- Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects.

- Time taken to deliver the report to the client
- Quality of report
- Number of surveys / inspections done in the allocated timeframe
- Client claims
- Detention ratio
- Customer satisfaction
- Additional sales, cross- selling, number of commercial opportunities referred

Ø Qualification Experience & Technical Knowledge
- An Engineering Graduate/Diploma / B.SC (Electrical/Instrumentation) with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of QA/QC is a must
- Knowledge about methodology required for the inspection activities
- Should have knowledge of IS, IEC,etc (National and International code ,standard & Specification) and customer requirements.
