Job Description and Profile (external)

Role Purpose
As Talent and Development Lead, you identify and develop employee skills, design and deliver talent initiatives, support leadership capability and succession planning, and promote a culture of continuous learning. You ensure alignment between area needs and regional Talent priorities.


Key Responsibilities

Talent Strategy and Programs

  • Develop and implement the Talent Management Strategy aligned with the Evolved People Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Region COE and HR teams to understand capability needs and define future skills.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate training and development programs to address skill gaps and build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Support employee growth through structured learning pathways and targeted development actions.

Talent Review and Succession Planning

  • Coordinate the full Talent Review process across the area, ensuring consistency in local reviews.
  • Consolidate outputs for leadership discussions and ensure follow up with High Potential individuals.
  • Focus on diversity, gender balance, succession depth and mobility opportunities.
  • Increase visibility and support the development of technical expert talent, preparing business cases for further initiatives.

Performance and Learning Processes

  • Lead performance management activities in the area, ensuring application of group guidance to strengthen a performance culture.
  • Support global Talent and Learning initiatives including LMS, leadership and manager training programs, and digital learning tools.

Data, Alignment and Communication

  • Use data and analytics to assess program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment of talent development activities with area and global priorities.
  • Participate in L and D networks and contribute to shared projects.
  • Communicate talent practices clearly to managers and employees to reinforce understanding and engagement.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in talent management and development.

Skills and Experience

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to connect talent initiatives to business priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR teams, business leaders, group functions and external partners.
  • Experience in designing and delivering learning programs and familiarity with assessment tools.
  • Budget planning, cost management and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Proactive, flexible and pragmatic approach; experience in a matrix environment.
