API 686 INSPECTOR FREELANCE

Job Title: Freelance API 686 Inspector

Location: Rijeka, Croatia

Duration: 2 months

Job Description:

• Perform inspections and assessments of pressure vessels, piping, and related equipment in accordance with API Standard 686 (Recommended Practice for Machinery Installation and Installation Design)
• Conduct visual inspections, dimensional checks, and non-destructive testing (NDT) as required to evaluate the condition of the equipment
• Identify any defects, damage, or deviations from API 686 standards and provide detailed reports
• Recommend appropriate corrective actions or repairs to ensure the integrity and safe operation of the equipment
• Liaise with the client's engineering and maintenance teams to discuss findings and coordinate any necessary remedial work
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of all inspections and assessments
• Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an API 686 inspector or in a similar role
• Certified API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector or API 570 Piping Inspector
• Proficient in the use of various NDT techniques, such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, and dye penetrant inspection
• Strong knowledge of API standards, codes, and best practices related to pressure equipment
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to the job site in Rijeka, Croatia for the duration of the 2-month project
