JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Revenue Consolidation and Cost Allocation
a. Develop a thorough understanding of all projects within the Product Line to ensure accurate monthly revenue recognition, including revenue cut-off reviews, billing schedule monitoring, work-in-progress (WIP) assessments, and associated cost allocations.
b. Perform variance and profitability analysis to evaluate Business Unit and project performance, identify financial trends, and recommend improvement opportunities to Product Line.
c. Ensure compliance with Finance Department reporting requirements through the timely preparation and submission of financial reports, including revenue accruals, cost accruals, and variance analyses.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting Support
a. Collaborate closely with Operation stakeholders to obtain accurate and reliable inputs for budgeting and forecasting activities.
b. Monitor sales pipeline activities, project backlog status, and revenue conversion to support financial planning and performance tracking.
c. Provide financial insights, analyses, and strategic recommendations to the Product Line Head to support informed decision-making, resource allocation, and business growth initiatives.
3. Project Financial Management and Cost Optimization
a. Review and analyze the Profit and Loss (P&L) performance of overall Business Unit and key projects, assessing revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability to enhance project financial outcomes and overall business performance.
b. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of project costs, including direct costs, indirect costs, and overhead expenditures, to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve project margins. This includes reviewing labor costs, overtime expenditures, and other operational expenses.
c. Monitor client purchase orders to ensure timely receipt, accurate processing, and proper alignment with contractual milestones, facilitating efficient billing and revenue recognition.
d. Continuously assess project cost trends, business drivers, and market conditions to proactively manage risks, optimize cost control measures, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Business Partnership
a. Act as a trusted financial business partner to Operation Leaders, Project Managers, Senior Management, clients, and external stakeholders by providing sound financial advice and guidance.
b. Actively participate in project reviews, management meetings, and decision-making forums, ensuring that financial perspectives are incorporated into strategic and operational decisions.
c. Communicate project financial performance, risks, opportunities, and key financial indicators effectively to stakeholders, while promoting collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in project accounting, or related roles, with a proven track record of success in Oil & Gas or Power & Utilities industry.
- Knowledge of project accounting principles, cost management techniques, and financial analysis methodologies.
- Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., JD Edward, SAC, SAP BPC).
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and continuous learning, with a passion for driving organizational excellence and delivering exceptional results.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to project financial management is a plus.
