Job Description
The Marine Consultant for rig move operations role is the COMPANY representative in
coordinating jack up rig move operations involving rig and vessel owners, third party
contractors and regulators
Key Responsibilities
a) Involve in coordinating COMPANY jack up rig moves with contractors and related parties.
b) Review every rig move procedure and being the approving representative for COMPANY on every
COMPANY rig moves.
c) Attending and supervising critical rig moves.
d) Being part of team member for risk assessment
e) Interface with marine/logistics on vessels requirement for rig moves and general requirement.
f) Attend daily rig superintendent morning meeting and provide consultations, advice and updates on
rig move operations.
g) To implement and enforce good seamanship practices at site, in compliance with COMPANY and
statutory requirements and industrial best practices within the permissible limits in an efficient, safe,
and cost-effective manner to safeguard COMPANY image as a reputable operator
h) To enhance operations efficiency by constantly evaluating and analyzing practices, procedures,
problems and recommending changes for improvement in delivering Rig Move activities and at the
same time plan and control of Rig Move activities such as timely scheduling of marine equipment
and services to avoid costly delays by continuous forecasting rig move forward activities and
requirements
i) Monitor and review effectiveness of marine and rig move service contractors and rig owners HSE
management offshore and onshore including implementation of their HSE programs and initiatives
aimed at improving HSE performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
a) Minimum 8 years related experience in offshore rig move operations
b) Have certificate, diploma or degree in related technical field
c) Good English communication skills
d) Fit for offshore work
