Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist or Senior Specialist, APA Region

Job Overview

Reporting to the Health, Safety, Security, Environment (HSSE) & CSR Director, the CSR Specialist serves as the ESG expert for the APA Region, collaborating with leaders to implement the company's CSR and ESG programs. The CSR Specialist executes Region-wide strategies, policies, and standards by designing technical solutions, conducting compliance audits, enhance reporting systems, and providing data-driven insights to leadership. This role is responsible for analysing the environmental impact of the Region's services and operations and deploying sustainable solutions to reduce emissions, consumption, and prevent pollution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advocate for and support the CSR and ESG initiatives and goals of the organisation.
2. Network and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges
3. Analyse data, translate trends into actionable insights, and propose data-driven recommendations
4. Design, and monitor region-wide CSR and ESG solutions in alignment with organisation strategies and governance
5. Develop and maintain automated ESG tracking, reporting, and data visualization using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
6. Monitor performance and provide input to objectives and key results to meet evolving business needs
7. Support engagement of employees as CSR ambassadors and volunteers in programs to help the environment or community.
8. Contribute inputs in the development of CSR and ESG strategy plans with tactical approaches to ensure operational advantage
9. Advise and assist the international CSR and ESG network team to achieve effective resource allocation
10. Create, review, and update company-related content and materials for internal and external platforms
11. Monitor and coordinate responses to company-related queries as required
12. Support the preparation and publication of sustainability reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
13. Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

Requirements:

1. Works in a matrix environment, collaborating with senior leaders to deliver CSR and ESG initiatives.
2. Experienced Environmental, Social, and Governance, and/or Sustainability Practitioner
3. Ability to implement and operate defined CSR and ESG structures to sustain given objectives
4. Demonstrated experience advising on CSR/ESG functions or projects at the national or regional level, with a track record of technical implementation and stakeholder engagement
5. Capability to perform audit readiness assessments and serve as a regional technical ESG resource
6. 2-4 years of relevant or supporting CSR/ESG experience
7. Proficient in using AI, Power Automate, MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint applications
8. Working knowledge of relevant ESG reporting frameworks and standards
9. Ability to analyse, interpret, and work with databases, agreements, contracts, legal and technical documents
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate cross-functionally, and work independently under pressure
11. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in relevant fields with relevant CSR or ESG certification against international standards (e.g., ISO, GRI, ESRS, or equivalent)
