Functional  / Technical Competencies:

  1. Highly competent in engineering management aspect with further benefits of hull structural, naval architecture and/or marine system of floaters or ships associated design.
  2. Knowledgeable in associated engineering discipline, classification societies rules and industry codes and standards.
  3. Have the ability to address design risks and shortfalls.
  4. Competent in considering all aspects in developing concept and front end design including but not limited to commercial limitations and design drivers, and project execution limitations and drivers.
  5. Analyze and diagnose clients’ needs and propose solutions, provide technical assistance and attend to technical enquiries and evaluation during pre-contract period for major projects.
  6. Maintain active engagement with current / potential clients and stakeholders (such as providing technical advice and assistance) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  7. Direct and manage the project as a focal point of contact for clients during project phase
  8. Assess capabilities and availability of resources for service delivery, working within defined budget and timeframe
  9. Work closely with internal stakeholders and regional technical centres, communicate project requirements and manage service delivery.
  10. Effective communication skills, verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to work to the highest levels of customer service, confidentiality, and ethical behavior.

 

Requirements

  1. Degree qualified in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or Certificate of Competency 1, or post-graduate certificate in Project Management.
  2. Preference to hold Professional Engineer status or Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
  3. Minimum 10 years working experience in Maritime industry (or 6 years in similar capacity, ie. project management).
  4. Strong networking and relationship building skills.
  5. Good communicator and results-driven.
  6. Able to travel at short notice and accept short to mid-term overseas assignments as required.
