Job Responsibilities:
Generic:

  •  
  1. To carry out assigned tasks given in a particular project in a timely manner and acceptable quality
  2. To develop new knowledge and skills within asset integrity domain (materials, corrosion and inspection)
  3. To meet project goals and KPIs
  4. To abide by QHSE requirements and BV Code of Ethics
  5. To consistently record man-hours in weekly timesheet
  6. To work collaboratively and build a healthy working relationship with peers

​​​​​​​Specific:

  •  
  1. Implementing and delivering assigned asset integrity work including corrosion assessment, corrosion control and monitoring, materials selection, painting and coating, insulation systems, welding and etc
  2. Participate in asset integrity strategy / assessments such as Risk Based Inspection, Integrity Study, Fitness for Service and etc
  3. Participate in and effectively report upon those activities and practices, and provide other assigned corrosion/integrity engineering work
  4. Implement strategies for plant and equipment integrity including inspection and corrosion management/monitoring
  5. Ensure all works are covered by work orders or through the CTR system. Monitor cost against budget.
  6. Co-ordinate mobilisation of specialist sub-contractors and act as supervisor or onshore contact (day to day liaison required to monitor progress and provide advance warning of problems)
  7. Manage BV or Client databases

 

Job Requirements:

 

  1. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Material or Chemical Engineering or any related studies
  2. API/NACE/ISO/Norsok - corrosion related experience
  3. Language: Fluent in English
  4. Computer: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  5. Experienced in corrosion modelling techniques such as De Waard-Milliams, ECE, Hydrocor, Casandra, etc
  6. Working experience: 8-12 years of experience in Oil and Gas of relevant integrity experienced.
  7. Others:
    • Good communication skills
    • A team player
    • Strong ethics and integrity
    • Strong knowledge in oil and gas market, willing to share knowledge
    • Able to apply Risk Based Inspection Methodology/ Strategy.
    • General working knowledge related to material, corrosion and inspection including the following:
      1. Standards of design, fabrication, installations and testing.
      2. Appropriate material used in oil and gas industry including fabrication and repair technologies.
      3. Oil and gas production and process environment.
      4. Various Strategies on corrosion control
      5. Corrosion damage mechanism
      6. Basic NDT techniques
      7. Maintenance Management Systems for scheduling and planning.
    • Work requires local and overseas travel and may require evening and weekend work.
    • Work requires willingness to work at flexible schedule.
    • Ability to work alone and unsupervised at times with minimum supervision
    • Willing to travel
