Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Petroleum/ Instrument Engineering or any engineering equivalent
  • Experience within an Oil & Gas Company and industry.
  • Knowledge of the design, operations, technical support, key hazards/risks and process safety management features of typical Oil and Gas fields
  • Knowledge and understanding of Design, operations, technical support, key hazards/risks and process safety management features of typical Oil and Gas fields
  • Knowledge and understanding of Technical Safety Project documentation such as Technical Safety Project documentation (e.g. TSE philosophies, Asset Integrity- Process Safety (AI-PS) principles, Project Specification, TSE documentation)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Design aspects like fire protection escalation mitigation, atmospheric relief (vents at safe location) and flare, Hazardous area classification, noise mitigation, F&G detector location, Cause and Effects, safeguarding memorandum, 3-D Model reviews.
  • Hazard identification, Risk assessment, Process Safety report preparation, Process safety performance monitoring and auditing

 

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Fulfil a Company technical consulting position, which supports all Company in the safe operation of existing facilities and the safe design of new projects.
  • Develop and review PSM related standards, guideline and procedures
  • Define and develop Process Safety guides and templates that can be leveraged globally for such things as Failure Mode and Effect Analysis(FMEA) , Fault Tree Analysis(FTA), Major Accident and Risk Analysis(MAR), Worst Case Scenarios, Layers of Protection Analysis(LOPA), Hazard and Operability Analysis(HAZOP) studies, Bowtie, what if and checklist, Event Tree Analysis (ETA), Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and Hazard Identification (HAZID)
  • Perform appropriate analysis techniques, such as Hazard Identification HAZID facilitation and Risk Register; Hazard Analyses using Bow-Tie, HAZOP & LOPA methodologies; Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA),including the use of PHAST Risk software, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software and requency analysis methodologies such as FTA, FMEA, & ETA.
  • Perform Major Hazard Incident Investigation (involving fire or explosion).
  • Lead HAZOP, HAZID Teams
  • Develop process safety initiatives to continually improve, achieve and maintain PSM
