Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, identify, implement, and monitor claims preventions strategy, measures, procedures and mitigation across the contract’s portfolio for the project (onshore & offshore). 
  • Effectively manage contract claims and variations to achieve the best commercial outcome for the project.
  • Advise and guide CP Leads, Contract Holders, Company Representatives on variation and change management defense.
  • Coordinate with project group on use of resources (internal and external experts) as part of preparation for claim positioning.
  • Responsible to manage Company’s response to claims and contentious variation requests across all contract’s portfolios.
  • Responsible to prepare claims position including all the necessary analysis and impact studies.
  • Advise and guide CP Leads, Contract Holders, Company Representatives on how to preserve and exercise contractual remedies to protect or recover value.
  • Identify opportunities to submit claims from Company to Contractor.
  • Identify and monitor risk areas in key project contracts and agree with CP Manager areas of focus and support.
  • Lead resolution of Claims from or against contractors when delegated by Company.

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in QS or Construction Law or equivalent
  • Have proven ability of the successful development and negotiation of complex EPC contractual claim submissions
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in contract administration and claims management (including claims, delay and EoT analysis)
  • Able to interpret and conversant in Primavera software for claims preparation
  • Able to fully take into account business and operations requirements and objective while discharging its duties of contract management and claims support
